Mark Pelesh is the USA Funds Executive Vice President. Pelesh joined USA Funds® in August 2013 and is responsible for exploring new strategic directions for USA Funds to serve students in higher education. Pelesh founded and led the education law practice of Drinker Biddle & Reath, a national law firm. He also established the education law practice at Cohn and Marks.
In addition, he was responsible for legislative and regulatory affairs for a private postsecondary education and workforce training organization serving students throughout the United States and Canada. His longtime commitment to expanding education access, completion and employment opportunities for students also has included service on several boards, including those for the Institute for a Competitive Workforce and the Career and Technical Education Foundation. In addition, Pelesh has been a member of the Education, Employment and Training Committee of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce,the Education Task Force of the American Legislative Exchange Council and the Northern Virginia Workforce Investment Board.
He is a graduate of Yale Law School, where he served as an editor of the Yale Law Journal. Pelesh received his undergraduate degree with honors in history from Stanford University and was elected there to Phi Beta Kappa.
